The job
The institute runs very different things under one name: holiday programmes for children, courses for adults changing careers, and systems and web work for schools and organisations. The site has to explain all of it without turning into a list of everything at once.
It also has to bring people in. “Apply to FONE” stays in reach on every page, and the home page ends with a clear route for people switching careers.

The design
The headline is set in Doto, a dot-matrix face, so “Learn. Build. Evolve.” reads like a display on a circuit board, over footage of a robotics build.
Crimson and gold come from the institute's crest and carry the page: crimson for the actions and the holiday problem, gold for the answer.
The home page tells one story by contrast: what other children do during the holidays, then what FONE children do, section against section.
